Rising almost intact after 333 years under water, the Vasa is both beautiful and tragic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Covered in carvings of warriors, gods, and mythical creatures, the ship was meant to show off Sweden\u2019s power in the 1600s. Instead, it sank on its maiden voyage in 1628 \u2014 a disaster born of ambition and flawed design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Standing in front of it, I couldn\u2019t help but feel awe. The Vasa isn\u2019t just an artifact.
