Hiking in Stockholm

• The guide's hourly salary.
• Transportation tickets to and from hiking site.
• Booklets and maps.
• Any extra equipment you may need during the hike (for special gear, please ask for it in the Comments box at checkout)
• Special occasion add-ons such as sauna, bath, or ice-skates (depending on the season) --> you can inquire about these at checkout by writing in the Comments box

• The Beginner-hiker experience lasts between 4 to 6 hours of guided hiking excursion (inc. time to get to the hiking spot). 

• The Advanced or Experienced-hiker experience lasts between 7 and 8 hours (full-day activity) of guided hiking excursion. If you choose to purchase this ticket, please be aware that the price is higher due to the increase in duration and work hours of the guide.

We design our Hiking experiences according to the experience-level of the participant. If you do not know which category you fall under, please read the guide below before you buy your ticket(s).

In each of the levels, if most of the statements describe you, then you are:

Beginner-hiker:

• never hiked before or hiked 1 to 5 times in your lifetime;
• want to take it easy and just enjoy the journey, the view, or the animals around while on the hike;
• can hike on flat surfaces mostly or not used to high elevation;
• not able to walk for more than 2 to 3 hours at a time without a break;
• average fitness level - you exercise 1 or less times per week;
• are intimidated by 'fast-paced' hikes.

OR

Advanced- or experienced-hiker:

• have hiked 5 or more trails in the past 6 months, but have not climbed Mount Everest (we are not discriminating here, just making sure we set the expectations that for very experienced-hikers, our hike is nothing too crazy);
• enjoy altitude and elevation;
• are used to hiking for 3 hours or more uninterrupted;
• keep a fitness routine or work out 2 to 3 times per week (min)
• have experience leading your own hiking group.

Typically, we will send you the meeting point location on a follow-up email, within 24-hrs after you made your booking. We usually either pick you up at your hotel or we set a meeting point in the city centre, most likely within walking distance from your hotel.

We will take you to the hiking spot via public transportation.

At the end of the day, we will drop-you off in the city centre, close to T-centralen.

• You must bring your own snacks and/or meals; bring a refillable water bottle, as well! 
• Wear sunscreen, sunglasses or a hat, if sunny.
• Check the weather on the day of the excursion, best to dress in layers, and dress appropriately as we have limited warmth equipment.
• Bring suitable hiking boots, or ask for them at extra cost (to be paid on site) from us in the Comments box at checkout.
